Part-Time Spring Tax Internship for 2019.

 

About this Job


We are looking for students for our Part-Time Spring Tax Internship for 2019. Please refer any students who are looking to fulfill the Graduate Internship Program or who are looking for part-time employment with a CPA firm to this job posting.
 
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Client record preparation, client related data entry, income tax return preparation, professional correspondence with clients (email, telephone, in person), filing, etc. Candidate/s must present a professional appearance, and be dependable.

This position will be working directly under the supervision of a CPA preparing tax returns for the 2018 tax year and will be reporting directly to the owner of the business.

 

We prefer Senior and Graduate students who have already taken or are currently taking tax classes. Please note that students will be required to quickly grasp and implement complicated tax issues for our clients. They should also be able to work independently. Our CPA firm's concentration is primarily in tax and dealing with complex tax and financial issues for corporations as well as individuals.


We do train on software applications (QuickBooks, Intuit - ProSeries) and office procedures but we prefer students with prior office experience. Accounting GPA Required: 3.3 or higher.

Part-Time Client Service Assistant

We are looking for students for our Part-Time Client Service assistant's position. Their primary responsibilities will be to provide day to day client support for a well-established CPA firm. Please refer any students who are looking for part-time employment with a CPA firm to this job posting.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Professional interactions with new clients inquiring about our services, answer phones and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate party promptly and efficiently, communicate and handle incoming and outgoing emails with clients, sorting client documents, client database upkeep, running errands (must have reliable transportation), help keep the office tidy and organized, client record preparation and retention.

 

Skills Needed:


The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, be able to work independently, computer skills, problem resolution skills, appreciation and respect for deadlines and regulations, ability to use office machines and equipment (personal computer, copiers, fax machine, postage meter), ability to work in fluctuating levels of workloads and work under time constraints.

The students we are seeking must be well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small professional office. Must have excellent communication and computer skills.

The ability to interact with clients, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. College level written, comprehension, verbal communication, decision making ability, and attention to detail are required.
